I was just perusing Amazon for some new books and decided to do a quick DVD search for a few things that I’ve had a hard time finding and what did I discover but Superheroes on DVD and available for streaming and download. Color me happy a happy camper. You can purchase the DVD for $19.99 via this link, but please note that there are only a very limited number of copies in stock. Watch Katie Couric tonight

Just a reminder that Dash and Jaylen will be on Katie Couric tonight at 6:30 p.m. (check your local listings for the channel) in the segment “American Spirit”.

Student, Actor Help Spread Anti-Bullying Message at School

Harrison Paxton had never heard of Tourette syndrome before Tuesday afternoon. Yet the fifth-grader knows what teasing feels like.

“When I first came to this school, I got bullied a little bit,” said Harrison, a 10-year-old with crew-cut blond hair. “I came in third grade (and was bullied) because I was new and sometimes I didn’t know what to do.”

Harrison could only imagine the cruelty he might face if he had uncontrollable body movements, like Jaylen Arnold, the 9-year-old boy who stood Tuesday before 400 or so students at Bartow Elementary Academy and described life with Tourette syndrome.

Jaylen appeared during a presentation along with actor Dash Mihok, who also has Tourette’s. The assembly, covered by a crew from the CBS Evening News for future broadcast, was the first in what Jaylen hopes will be many anti-bullying appearances at local schools.

This isn’t a “new” news entry, I just thought I should move it to the top so it wouldn’t get lost in the other news posts.

‘Loveless in Los Angeles’ will be released on DVD on May 29, 2007 and is currently available for pre-order through Amazon.com for $26.99, Overstock.com for $19.86 and CD Universe.com for $20.44. The film will also be available for rent through Blockbuster, Netflix, etc.
